Privacy policy and KVKK information notice

This notice explains, within the scope of Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698, which of your data we process as data controller and for what purpose, with whom we share them and how you can exercise your rights. Last updated: 16 September 2026.

Who is the data controller?

The data controller is BKT Tercüme ve Danışmanlık. Since 1994 we have provided consultancy on work permit, residence permit, citizenship and company procedures for foreign nationals, together with the sworn translation services that official procedures require.

Which data do we collect?

We take only the data needed to get back to you and to carry out the procedure you have requested. We do not compile from other sources any data you have not given us yourself.

Contact data: name and surname, telephone, e-mail and the subject you write in your message. We receive these through the contact form on the website, by telephone, via WhatsApp or through the information form inside our advertisements.
Transaction data: the information in the documents you send us for consultancy or translation (for example a passport, residence permit, diploma, civil registry extract or contract). We process these documents solely in order to carry out the relevant procedure.
Technical data: the cookie records created while you browse the site, IP address, browser and device information, and which pages you viewed.

We do not request special categories of personal data such as health, belief or ethnic origin. If the procedure being carried out makes such a document compulsory (for example an application for which a health report is required), we process that document solely for submission to the relevant authority and with your explicit consent.

To answer your question and to arrange an appointment or preliminary meeting
To carry out the consultancy and translation service, and to prepare and follow up your application file
To complete sworn translation and notarial certification procedures
To meet invoicing and accounting obligations
To meet the retention and reporting obligations arising from legislation
To improve our service by measuring the website and our advertising activity

What is the legal basis?

Our processing activities rest on the following conditions in Article 5 of the KVKK: that the processing is directly related to the conclusion or performance of a contract, that the data controller is fulfilling a legal obligation, that it is necessary for the establishment or protection of a right, and our legitimate interest, provided that it does not harm your fundamental rights and freedoms. For non-essential cookies and for special categories of personal data the basis is your explicit consent; you may withdraw your consent at any time.

With whom do we share your data?

We do not sell your personal data and we do not transfer them to third parties for advertising purposes. Sharing takes place only to the extent the procedure requires:

Official authorities: the Presidency of Migration Management, the Ministry of Labour and Social Security, civil registry and marriage registry offices, trade registry offices, consulates and notaries — only as far as the documents your application requires.
Our service providers: the server provider hosting the website, the e-mail infrastructure and the measurement tools.
Our sworn translators: they work under a duty of confidentiality and do not use your documents outside the procedure.

Cookies and measurement tools

Alongside the strictly necessary cookies the site needs in order to work, we use Google Analytics 4, Google Ads and Yandex Metrica tags to measure visits and track advertising performance. These tools record page views, clicks and taps on the telephone and WhatsApp links. Yandex Metrica additionally uses session recording (Webvisor), heat maps and form analysis; these features record your behaviour on the page, such as mouse movement, scrolling and clicks. The data these tools collect may be processed on servers outside Türkiye. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; some parts of the site may then not work as expected.

How long do we keep your data?

We keep your data for as long as the purpose of processing requires and thereafter for the retention periods prescribed by legislation. For invoices and accounting records that period is ten years by law. Documents you have sent us for an application that has not been concluded are erased at your request without waiting for any period to run. Once the period expires the data are erased, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights under the KVKK

Under Article 11 of the Law you may apply to us and request the following:

To learn whether your personal data are being processed and, if they are, to request information about it
To learn the purpose of processing and whether the data are used in accordance with that purpose
To learn the third parties to whom the data have been transferred
To request the correction of data processed incompletely or inaccurately
To request the erasure or destruction of the data where the conditions for it are met
To request that correction, erasure and destruction operations be notified to the parties to whom the data have been transferred
To object to a result arising against you solely through analysis by automated systems
To request compensation for the damage if you have suffered loss through unlawful processing

You can send your request by e-mail to info@bkttercumevedanismanlik.com or submit it in writing to the office address above. We answer your request within thirty days at the latest.

The information form in our advertisements

Our advertisements appearing in Google search results may contain a form through which you can leave your details without coming to the site at all. In that form we ask only for your name and surname, telephone, e-mail and which service you would like information about. When you complete the form this information is passed to us and is used only to get back to you. We would remind you that Google also processes these data under its own privacy policy.

If this notice changes

We update this notice when legislation or our service procedures change. The current version is always published on this page; the update date at the top of the page shows you which version you are reading.
