Who makes the work permit application, the employer or the employee?
As a rule, the work permit application is made by the employer. For applications inside Turkey, the foreign national must hold a valid residence permit of at least six months; otherwise the application is made through a Turkish mission abroad.
What can I do if my residence permit application is refused?
A refusal can be challenged before the administrative court; in some cases, remedying the grounds for refusal and making a fresh application gives a faster result. Which route is appropriate depends on the grounds for refusal and requires legal assessment.
How long do I have to appeal a deportation decision?
The time limit for challenging a deportation decision is kept short in the law and runs from the date the decision is notified. For that reason the case must be assessed on the very day the decision reaches you.
What is the difference between sworn translation and notarised translation?
A sworn translation is one declared by an authorised translator with their stamp and signature. In a notarised translation, that translation is additionally certified by a notary. Which one is required depends on the institution requesting the document.
How are fees calculated?
After your case has been reviewed in the consultation, the document list, the steps and the total fee are shared in writing. Nothing is added later; official fees and notary costs are stated separately and clearly.
Can I use your services from other provinces in Turkey?
Yes. Our office is in Küçükçekmece, Istanbul; because most applications are handled electronically, we accept clients from every province in Turkey. Documents can be sent by courier.
